Formerly known as Grauman's Chinese Theatre, this iconic venue in the heart of Hollywood is a popular spot for movie premieres and other industry events. Its history is nearly as long as Hollywood's history! Constructed during an 18-month period beginning in 1936, the original Grauman's Chinese Theatre opened with the premier of Cecil B. DeMille's "The King of Kings." The venue also notably hosted the debut of the original "Star Wars" in 1977. When visiting the TCL Chinese Theatre, movie fans can glance at the famous handprints and footprints on the cement outside, hop on a 30-minute guided tour, or head inside to watch a movie.
Did you know that the Hollywood Walk of Fame has nearly 2,800 names? Get your sneakers laced up to explore 15 blocks spanning Hollywood and Vine. The total route is approximately 1.3 miles. The iconic stars on the route are five-pointed stars made from brass and terrazzo.
